Join FrontDoor Communities at the Stonoview Grand Opening on Saturday, June 3. Guests will enjoy a number of activities that include boat tours on the Stono River, live music and more at Johns Island’s newest riverfront community.
The main event will take place on June 3 from noon to 2 p.m. where attendees will partake in delicious food and drinks, live music and tours of the stunning model home. Other happenings will include boat tours along the scenic Stono River, a jump castle village for children and chances to win a paddleboard or Yeti cooler, in addition to a number of other free gifts.
Aptly named for its unobstructed views of the Stono River, Stonoview is the epitome of Lowcountry living with homes from the $300,000s to $600,000s. This master-planned, riverfront community provides a serene and natural backdrop for days spent fishing and crabbing off the community dock or romantic evenings under moss-draped oak trees.
Residents at Stonoview enjoy a number of amenities that include a deep-water dock with covered gazebo, three floating docks, a community firepit, onsite boat and kayak storage, floating boat slips, tennis courts, walking and biking trails, golf-cart paths and several pocket parks and picnic areas throughout. Future plans at Stonoview include a pool and riverhouse with waterfront park.
Stonoview is located at 2627 Battle Trail Drive on Johns Island, just a 15 minute drive from downtown Charleston. Close enough to enjoy the fine dining, shopping and entertainment options of the city, but distance enough to feel a sense of escape. Children at Stonoview attend Angel Oak Elementary, Haut Gap Middle and St. John’s High.

FrontDoor Communities is excited to announce the success of its model home grand opening oyster roast at Stonoview on Johns Island. Co-hosted with Brock Built Homes, the October 22 event attracted almost 350 guests, including current homeowners and prospective buyers.
“This time of year, there is nothing like shucking oysters next to an outdoor fire on a cool Charleston afternoon,” explained Mark Lipsmeyer, the vice president of FrontDoor Communities’ Charleston division. “The day was perfect for just that, plus many of the guests that came did not know that this fantastic community existed. We wrote one contract, and several are interested in looking further into purchasing a new home.”
The event featured delicious food catered by Sticky Fingers Ribhouse, a Lowcountry barbecue favorite; cold beverages and fabulous door prizes. Sponsor Butler Marine even raffled off a brand new 2016 Key West Boat valued at $30,000. Plus, there was plenty of activities for the little ones. Kids loved the hay rides, choosing a pumpkin, playing in the bounce house and eating some yummy cotton candy.
Along with the festivities, guests were able to tour Stonoview’s model homes, including FrontDoor Communities’ Albrecht model. Showcasing one of the largest home designs, the Albrecht epitomizes Southern hospitality. Highlights include an expansive front porch, standard energy-efficient and eco-friendly features, a chef-inspired kitchen with stainless steel appliances, family room with fireplace and built-in shelving and a main level owner’s suite with private sunroom, roomy walk-in closet and spa-like bath. Upstairs, the model home has three secondary bedrooms with two full baths.
Priced from the high $400,000s, Stonoview is a master planned, waterfront community that provides a true sense of the Lowcountry with extraordinary amenities, such as unobstructed views of Stono River, community dock with sundeck, floating boat slops, on site boat storage, crabbing, kayak storage, waterfront park and pavilion, community pool, tennis courts, walking/biking trails, pocket parks and several picnic areas. Residents are minutes from area shopping, dining and recreation. Children residing at the community attend Angel Oak Elementary School, Haut Gap Middle School and St. John’s High School.
In honor of the model grand opening, FrontDoor Communities is offering gourmet kitchen upgrades for the first three presales and golf carts for the first three market homes.*
